Trip to Madrid

As you might already know, Madrid is the capital of Spain. There is nearly nothing you can’t do in Madrid, it has all sort of things to offer, for this reason it is one of the most touristic cities in Spain. The most common things to do are: eating chocolate con churros at San Ginés, eat at the world’s oldest restaurant Botin, have some tapas and cañas (beer), walk in the Retiro park and go to el Rastro.

Just one piece of advice, if you come during July or August make sure you bring lots of sunscreen! It gets really hot in Madrid, and you don’t want to look like a lobster in all your pictures. 😉

10 places you must visit in Madrid:

Prado Museum

Reina Sofia Museum

Las Ventas

Parque El Retiro

The Royal Palace

Puerta del Sol

Plaza Mayor

Gran Vía

Plaza Cibeles

If you want to visit Madrid at a low cost follow this guide. You will don’t spend more than €1 on a beer, don’t spend more than €30 per night on accommodation, and lunch will cost you around €10. In addition, traveling around the city will cost you €1’5 per ride, as long as you don’t take any taxis. Oh, and by the way if you are planning to go to any museum make sure to go on free days to avoid paying entrance. Just make sure you arrive a little in advance so you don’t have to wait on the queue for long.
